Little Dude is 3 1/2 months so these photos are a bit late.
Every day seems to bring a new milestone; he’s growing so quickly.
-Yesterday he found his toes and he’s been playing with his feet ever since. He enjoys “talking” a lot.
-Last night we sang lullabies together and the whole experience melted my heart.
-His napping schedule is erratic of late. He was sleeping from 10AM-3PM and then 5PM-6PM every day until about 2 weeks ago. And now that he isn’t I feel silly not to have taken advantage of it and done more projects. Oh well. I took that time to just chill out, appreciate the me time and catch up on blogs.
-He army crawled once but has yet to do it again.
-He said “Mama” three times but I am pretty sure it was a fluke. He hasn’t said it since.
-We are both losing our hair. Why the hell is postpartum hair loss not spoken more about. Thank goodness I have a lot of hair, but darn it, I’d like to keep it that way.
-His longest stretch of sleep at night has been 6 hours. He’s still nursing once at night and once early in the morning. I hope sleeping through the night is coming soon. I won’t complain about short naps too much if it happens.
-With assistance (of course) he sits and stands when told “up” and “down”. Comes in handy when bathing him.
-He laughs every time I put his pants on. Every. Time.
-He often chews and it reminds me of my great aunt Ali (his namesake).
-The diaper kicks are happening every time he needs changing. He kicks with so much gusto I often laugh.
-He twiddles his fingers since he was 2 months all. He looks so thoughtful when doing it.
-He is such a morning person. Every day, after his 6AM feed, I put him in bed with us for some morning cuddles. He gives me the BEST smiles and loves to chat. I imagine he’s telling me about his dreams 🙂
My boy is growing so fast. I love to see the development and can’t wait to see what the next few months brings us.
-I am off the blood pressure meds. But my BP still isn’t as low as it used to be. Hoping it regulates in the next few months.
-We go on walks about 4-5 times a week. I really want to start running again but need some umph in my motor to get started.
-The hair thing. It is falling out in clumps. I panicked until I found out it’s normal to experience hair loss once the estrogen dips after birth. Still not cool. Now I know why so many women cut their hair after having a baby. I’m tempted.
So that’s us lately 🙂
